Billionaire Paul Tudor Jones tests positive for COVID after NYC gala

Billionaire investor Paul Tudor Jones introduced Friday that he examined positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, simply someday after attending a star-studded gala in New York City hosted by the Robin Hood Foundation, the nonprofit he based.

“I had a negative PCR test for COVID on Monday, but I took another PCR test on Thursday after a co-worker at my home tested positive,” the hedge fund huge wig mentioned Friday in an announcement.

“Every person at the dinner was vaccinated and we are sharing information as we have it. I feel fine, have no temperature and am following COVID protocols. If I have inadvertently exposed anyone, I am truly and deeply sorry.”  

Roughly 3,000 folks attended the occasion on the Jacob Javits Center.

Wall Street titans, together with Mike Novogratz of Galaxy Digital, David Einhorn of Greenlight Capital, Kristin Lemkau of JPMorgan and John Griffin of Blue Ridge Capital, attended the occasion Wednesday night, The Post beforehand reported.

Former Mayor Mike Bloomberg attended, as did would-be mayor, Eric Adams, and New York Attorney General Letitia James.

The evening featured performances from Bruce Springsteen, Alicia Keys sang and the Jonas Brothers, and Paul McCartney attended, too.

In an announcement, the Robin Hood Foundation mentioned “everyone who meets the CDC guidelines for a high-risk exposure has been personally contacted.”

“Mr. Jones followed all protocols and was not exhibiting any symptoms on the night of the Annual Benefit,” a spokesperson informed The Post.

“We want Mr. Jones a swift recovery and continued well being, and in accordance with testing and tracing procedures, we’ve knowledgeable the CDC and different related well being jurisdictions. 

“Robin Hood consulted with leading infectious disease experts to develop and implement the COVID-19 protocols for this event, which exceeded current CDC, state, and local guidance. All attendees were required to be fully vaccinated and advised to wear masks when not actively eating or drinking.”

Tudor Jones — value an estimated $7.3 billion, based on Forbes — co-founded the inspiration within the Eighties and is presently a member of the group’s board of administrators.
