Family, coworkers recall ‘jovial’ man killed in Dunkin’ dispute

A man shot after an argument inside a Bronx Dunkin’ was a latest immigrant from Jamaica working to assist his mom and sisters again residence, relations informed The Post.

Stephen Stewart, 24, was discovered unconscious with a gunshot wound to his midsection at 3559 Holland Ave., after a heated trade with a girl contained in the eatery spilled out onto the road, police stated.

“He always be the one to carry the peace. Most of the family is devastated. He’s just that person,” his aunt, who didn’t give her title, stated in an interview. “I don’t know why somebody would do this to him, over a simple issue. That didn’t call for somebody losing life.”

“He was a very jovial guy, hardworking. He’s been here like three weeks,” stated one particular person on the restaurant, who declined to provide his title. “We are all so traumatized.”

Stuart was not even concerned in the dispute, a Dunkin’ Donuts employee stated.

“She was just arguing for no reason. He was just there, that’s it, just listening,” stated the worker, who didn’t need to be named. “He shot the wrong guy.”
