‘Go house, drink some wine’

Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns wasn’t interested by discussing his lack of offense after Minnesota blew a 26-point lead in a 104-95 Game 3 loss to the Grizzlies on Thursday. He had wine on his thoughts as an alternative.

After Memphis took a 2-1 collection lead over Minnesota, Towns was requested about making an attempt simply 4 photographs in Game 3.

“Next question,” stated the Timberwolves star, who completed with eight factors, 5 rebounds, 5 blocks, one help and 5 fouls in 33 minutes. “Go house, drink some wine and transfer on to the following day.

“I mean that’s really simple. Just decompress. Just go home and remember what got us here. Remember what got me here. … It’s our support system, our work and each other, and we just got to lean on that.”

Towns has been largely a non-factor on the offensive finish within the first-round collection, with simply 11 shot makes an attempt prior to now two video games.

The Timberwolves, although, weren’t at all times in jeopardy through the sport. Towns was speaking trash within the huddle when the Timberwolves had been up 26 within the second quarter after which by 25 factors within the third.

“Yeah, we in Minnesota now,” Towns stated to his teammates. “Like I said after [Game 2] to the media, [all right] cool, we got to come back to our house now. I only seen them at their house.”

Morant reposted the video to Twitter, trolling Towns’ feedback. “We in Minnesota now,” he tweeted, including a smiling face emoji.

Game 4 is ready for Saturday at 10 p.m. ET in Minnesota.
