Sherri Papini pleads guilty to 2016 kidnapping hoax

Papini, 39, who appeared on Monday in Sacramento federal courtroom through Zoom, entered her guilty plea to fees for mail fraud and making false statements.

According to a prison criticism, an Honest Green Tea bottle present in a Costa Mesa trash can matched Reyes’ DNA collected from Papini’s clothes, which finally helped officers decide she was along with her former boyfriend.
