Motorcyclist killed in crash after high-speed chase across Houston space, deputies say

Investigators say the chase went across a number of Houston-area cities and reached speeds in extra of 100 mph.

HOUSTON — A motorcyclist is lifeless after main officers on a chase that stretched across a number of Houston-area cities and reached speeds in extra of a 100 mph, in accordance with the Harris County Pct. 8 Constable’s Office.

It all got here to an ended about 9:45 p.m. Wednesday close to the 10800 block of Galveston Road/Highway 3 close to E. Sam Houston Parkway South.

Precinct 8 Lt. Wayne Gerrish stated the suspect was probably racing one other motorcyclist when a patrol officer first noticed him in the southeast Houston space.

The deputy signaled the motorcyclist to drag over however as a substitute he sped off. 

During the chase, Gerrish stated the motorcyclist was going at extreme speeds and using in non-traffic areas, so officers determined to finish the chase out of concern for public security.

Moments later, investigators stated the motorcyclist returned to the world he was orginally noticed in and a second chase began. 

Gerrish stated the suspect went on to Dixie Farm Road, the place he become oncoming visitors on Galveston Road after which hit a curb, inflicting him to lose management of the motorbike and crash.

They stated the suspect died on the scene. No different accidents had been reported.

Gerrish stated Precinct 8 has opened an inner investiagtion into how the chase was carried out. Meanwhile, the Houston Police Department is trying into the crash itself.
