UCSD Health not too long ago responded to a data breach involving unauthorized entry to some worker electronic mail accounts.

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif. — UC San Diego Health Tuesday addressed a latest safety data breach involving unauthorized entry to some worker electronic mail accounts.



UC San Diego Health said in a press launch that, “at no time was continuity of care of their patients affected by the data breach.”

When the safety breach was found, they terminated the unauthorized entry to the e-mail accounts and UCSD mentioned they enhanced their safety controls. 

“UC San Diego Health is moving as quickly as possible while taking the care and time to deliver accurate information about which data was impacted,” said UCSD Health in a press launch. “At this time, we are aware that these email accounts contained personal information associated with a subset of our patient, student, and employee community. We estimate this review will be complete in September.”

UC San Diego Health reported the breach to the FBI and is working with exterior cybersecurity consultants to research the scenario and decide what occurred. 

Though there was a safety breach with UC San Diego Health worker electronic mail accounts, there is no such thing as a proof that different UC San Diego Health techniques had been impacted nor have they got any proof presently that the knowledge has been misused.
